God is Able . . . Verses

Living with a chronic bleeding disorder has given me a few (ok, many) opportunities to be freaked-out. Every new diagnosis, every ambulance ride, every trip to the ER is an opportunity to lean into God’s ability to do what I cannot, to calm me down.

There are plenty of ways we are reminded of our inability to deal with life’s trials. Debt and job insecurity. Aging parents and wayward children. Tension in relationships. Addictions. These are very real human experiences that remind us just how much of life is out of our control. We need help.

When I feel weak, helpess, and vulnerable, I go to my list of "God is able . . ." verses. These verses remind me of how big my God is. When I am weak, he is more than able to give me strength. When I feel helpless, but he is more than able to help me. When fear threatens to overwhelm me, he is more than able to deliver me.

We do not have a hands-off God. He is not one to tell us, "Go and do XYZ, on your own." Far from it!

Our God wants to be in the trenches of life with us. Not only does he want to be with us and help us, but is able to. He is able to act on our behalf and he does!

We have a living, loving, and all-powerful God.  Be encouraged! Let these verses bring you comfort and hope.
