Preach to Yourself: 28 Days to Learn Homiletics and Engage with God Like a Preacher

Do you struggle to read the Bible and find truths you can share with others?
Do you have trouble explaining what you’ve learned in your Quiet Time?
Do you want to know how to apply what you learned to your life today?

You can study the Bible on your own, without the help of a teacher or study guide. Preach to Yourself: 28 Days to Learn Homiletics and Engage with God Like a Preacher will show you how.

About the Book

Preach to Yourself breaks down four passages of scripture (one week for each passage) using Homiletics, a classic Bible study method used by preachers and teachers. Tips are sprinkled throughout the devotional Bible study to help you learn the five steps of Homiletics in manageable bits. Each week ends with a devotional and a page for reflection.

Who Should Read the Book

Preach to Yourself was written for the devoted Christian looking for a way to dig deep into God’s Word on their own. Christians living isolated by illness or location, or limited by long work days, or needing a way to study the Bible between structured Bible study groups will benefit from this devotional Bible study so they can study scripture on their own schedule.

Testimonials

Being new to this study method I found the process a little difficult and worried that I wasn’t getting things right.  However, as I stuck with it, I got some fresh insight each day.  Even so, I was surprised at what I wrote on Day Seven.  I had not realized I was digging that deep. - Phil B.

I find application really challenging, but you helped me understand some of the possible parameters for applications. - Sara C.

Your testimony helped to reflect the steps you took to break down the passage… This study is very clear and thorough in pointing the learner in specific ways to complete a passage in a structured way. - Maryellen W.
